  • Silver and enamel
  • height 70.5 mm
• gilt platform jeweled escapement, bi-metallic balance • silvered dial, Arabic numerals, outer minute track, hands heightened in white and blue enamel • small silver arch-form case, the bezel with dark blue, black and light blue enamel crescent, the case further engraved with the crown of King Fuad of Egypt in relief • dial signed, movement numbered

Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. The clock is in a good condition, there are minor scratches to the case. There are scratches and scuffs to the bezel, especially above 12 where there is a scuff to the case and the enamel.

Catalogue Note

Breguet confirms production of pendulette no. 11149 and its sale with the crown engraving on the 10th of December 1925 to King Fuad of Egypt (1868-1936). The piece was one of six pieces sold to him in 1925, and the cost for this timepiece was 3688 French Francs.
