Catalogue Note

The reference 1504 was produced during a few years only, between 1941 and 1944.

Until today, only four examples of this reference in stainless steel were known.

Further to the rarity of this reference, especially in stainless steel, the present lot gathers some extremely appealing characteristics such as the beautiful black dial in excellent condition and contrasting with the applied pink gold Breguet numerals. Confirmed by the extract from the archives, they give the watch an incredible look and strong identity.

This watch is the only known example of this reference with a stainless steel case, black dial and pink gold Breguet numerals.

Amongst the entire production of Patek Philippe watches, only a handful of pieces with these characteristics have appeared in literature and to the market.

Offered for the first time at auction, the present lot has to be considered as one of the most fascinating simple round Patek Philippe watches and an exceedingly rare opportunity for a serious connoisseur looking for an exceptional addition to any collection.
