Condition

Illustration is quite accurate. Very nice gilt bronzes which would benefit from a light clean. As expected, tiny edge chips to the marbles. Dial in good condition. Movement has later escapement and suspension, very dirty and needs a clean. No pendulum. Delicate time piece in overall good condition.

Cette pendule est une reproduction très fidèle du modèle n°120 du Livre de desseins conservé à la Bibliothèque Doucet : bien qu'il ne porte aucun nom d'auteur, il est à rapprocher des dessins du bronzier Jean-Louis Prieur (H.Ottomeyer et P.Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, t.I., p. 249).
