Condition
Very good condition overall with natural inclusions in the marble at several places, a few visible as small spots in his face, some grey veining to the bust.
A few minor chips to the lower edges of the marble. Very interesting bust which has recently been rediscovered. (Published in the catalogue of Pradier's works)

Catalogue Note
En 1852, Pradier eut recourt aux services de l'avoué Antoine Sigismond Glandaz pour assurer sa défense lors d'un procès. Les deux hommes nouent des relations amicales. L'exécution de ce buste, probablement le dernier réalisé par Pradier, fut déléguée à son praticien, Eugène Guillaume (1822-1905) dont il porte la contresignature. Une réduction en plâtre de ce modèle se trouve au Palais de Justice de Paris.
