Condition

The illustration is not completely accurate : the marble top looks too clear on the photograph. Good overall condition, a few scratches and marks all throughout the surface, consistent with age. An area on the upper left side a little discolored by sun light exposure. Veneer has turned a little dry in places; one chip with loss (2 cm) on the lower edge of the left side. Gilt-bronze mounts scarcely rubbed or tarnished. A few expected edge chips on the marble top. Elegant piece of furniture, good proportions.
