Good condition overall with minor wear to the patina and surface dirt consistent with age and handling. The notebook on the hands of the Child drawing is missing. Good and crisp casts with a fine chiseling especially to the hair.

Une paire de bronzes identiques est conservée au musée du Louvre (OA 11223 et OA 11224). Il s'agit de l'un des rares modèles en bronze connu d'après Lemire (1741-1827). La manufacture de Dihl et Guérhard en a réalisé de nombreux biscuits. La qualité de la fonte se distingue par une grande précision dans les détails et dans la ciselure des cheveux des bronzes présentés ici.
