With some occasional small and minute air bubble inclusions, as well as a few larger open air bubbles on the vase interior, all inherent in the making and not visually detracting. The exterior is beautifully iridized, imparting the vase with strong luminous color and a range of brilliant hues. The treatment of the flattened upper rim is quite unusual and heightens the dramatic effect of the vase. Additionally the vase is mold blown with subtle vertical ribbing around the body . A highly attractive decorated piece displaying a complex form, well controlled decoration and strong coloration. Please note that the catalogue illustration was taken with a combination of both reflected and remitted light. When viewed firsthand the coloration of this vase is slightly more subtle and less saturated than seen in the catalogue illustration.
