Overall in very good condition. The shade, base and heat cap of this lamp all present with a harmonious gilt patina, reinforcing that all of these components appear to have originated together since the period. The shade with approximately 25 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of these hairlines appear stable, and have recently been sensitively stabilized by a professional Tiffany conservator. The gilt bronze surfaces of the base with light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design, and with a few small occasional traces of surface discolorations and oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. The sockets, paddle switches and “Spider” heat cap all appear period, and present with a complementary gilt patina. An exceptionally strong example of this desirable model displaying a superb dichroic glass selection with vigorous artistic mottling to the background glass. The coloration of the glass and gilt bronze base is slightly less red than seen in the catalogue illustration. When viewing this lamp firsthand the yellow background glass presents with subtle hues of orange, ochre and green in the mottling.
