Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 6 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of these hairlines appear stable, and have recently been sensitively stabilized by a professional Tiffany conservator. The shade with minor traces of surface soiling to the glass along the adjacent contours of the shade leading. The rare blown-glass reticulated “Pineapple” base presents beautifully and has been sensitively restored by a professional Tiffany conservator. The patina on the bottom plate and upper structure above the reticulated standard has been enhanced, and very minor touch ups have been made to the original patina on the central reticulated standard. There is a very small and minor hairline (1/4 inch long ) to the blown glass in the lower region of the base that has been sensitively stabilized. By all accounts this hairline appears stable and is barely visible. The green glass shows some occasional light surface wear, some minor inherent irregularities including very small air bubble inclusions, and light surface soiling adjacent to the reticulated base. The ring bushing below the upper finial switch has been replaced. The upper finial is cleverly designed to serve as an electric switch and is fully functional. All six sockets and pull chains appear original and undisturbed. A harmonious shade and base pairing displaying an exceptionally rare and desirable reticulated base. The coloration of the glass is slightly richer and more vibrant than seen in the catalogue illustration. The patinated bronze also shows greater nuance and depth in coloration, displaying a rich russset-brown and green patina.
