Condition

Overall in very good condition. The favrile glass Lily shades are a well-assembled harmonious set, displaying subtle variations in form and coloration. The shades are in excellent condition. Two shades with very small edge flecks to the top aperture rims, and a few shades with minute pin-head size flecks to the top aperture rims, all exceedingly minor and not at all visible when the shades are installed. Some of the shades with light surface scratches and rubbing to the top interior from continued surface contact over time with the interior sockets. The exterior of the shades are beautifully iridized, and when viewed with reflected light display a strong range of brilliant jewel-tone hues. The patinated bronze base displays a rich russet brown and green patina. The patinated surfaces with rubbing and light surface wear, and with scattered areas of minor surface discolorations and oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. All of the white porcelain sockets appear to be period. The black plastic base switch appears to be an old replacement and is fully functional. An exceptional early example of this iconic Lily model displaying a beautifully balanced composition and strong set of Lily shades. The Lily stems are particularly thin, which is seen in the earliest production of the Lily lamp series.
