Catalogue Note

"Claude works the way birds sing, without really thinking about it. Imagine, if you would, a conversation where the other speaker would be a branch in bronze, coming – so to speak –  from the next door garden. As weird as such a dialogue might seem, it is nevertheless absolutely natural, even familiar. This is because everything happens beyond time, in those marvelous, feminine realms where the enigmatic and the obvious merge."
—François-Xavier Lalanne, March 2010
