Condition
Overall in very good condition. The vase exterior with a few very light and fine surface scratches. The coloration of this rare red vase is particularly striking and unusual, notably the coloration of the contrasting dark green rim, upper band and zig-zag decoration. With a cased white vase interior, and with light surface soiling to the bottom interior surfaces. The upper shoulder and foot are selectively iridized, imparting the vase with strong luminosity. A particularly fine and striking example displaying exceptional coloration, elegant form and proportion, and well-controlled decoration. Please note that the catalogue illustration shows this vase with strongly reflected front light. When viewed under reflected light conditions the coloration appears a bright rich red. When viewed under standard light conditions, the coloration is a deeper blood red.
