Condition
Overall in very good original condition. When viewed in person, the vase presents with strong colors and a mosaic of vivid orange, pale green and blues, clear glass and intense black and white, as shown in the catalogue illustration. The glass with some small air bubbles, particulate inclusions and surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The surfaces with shallow surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. A great example of the model.

Catalogue Note
Pezzato Arlecchino was the first Pezzato application Fulvio Bianconi presented. The technique was exhibited at the XXVa Biennale of Venice in 1950. Arlecchino differed from successive Pezzato applications which were presented at the IX Triennale of Milan in 1951 due to its use of a colorless blown form with pieces of flattened opaque opal canes covered with a transparent colored layer.
