Condition
Overall in good condition. When viewed in person, the sequins present with nuanced colors in gilt and amber tones, with hues of reds and ochre. The talosel with some minor cracks consistent with age and gentle handling, visible on the catalogue illustration. The aluminum with minor discoloration, in particular to the outer edge, as visible to the upper left on the catalogue illustration. The metal with minor oxidation consistent with age and gentle use, some of the arms to the sequins are slightly out of shape. The mirrored glass with a few surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. A great example of Vautrin’s talent for combining poetic sensibility and technical mastery.
