the oval-section vessel cast with shallow flaring sides and set to either end with a well-articulated chilong, the sinuous bodies arched forming the handles with the hind legs and curling bifurcated tails bracing against the surface, front paws grasping the rim and leonine heads peering over the top, all supported on four ruyi-form feet, the base with an apocryphal Xuande mark, fitted wood stand (2)

Condition
In overall good condition, with wear and encrustation to the interior typical for age and use. With minor pitting and minute dents throughout. The stand repaired.
