a well-figured burlwood floating panel set within a mitered, mortise and tenon frame, above a narrow recessed waist, the slightly arched apron with angular scrollwork brackets joining the four square section legs

Provenance

Vallin Galleries, Wilton, Connecticut, 1980s. 

Condition

The legs have been cut down to form a low table. There is a section of one inner leg where the patch repair has fallen out, leaving an open crescent shape to the leg. The openwork spandrels have been glued in place. There is general consolidation of the joinery. The burlwood panel is a possibly later added.
