deftly carved and pierced with a continuous scene depicting the stellar deities appraising a long scroll under gnarled pine trees with an attendant standing behind, accompanied by a deer and a crane playing alongside, all set within a landscape setting detailed with jagged rockwork and a stream, the bamboo patinated to a warm reddish-brown color

Condition

In overall good condition. There are a few minor repaired breaks to the carved designs, the largest measuring approx. 1.5 cm extending down from the rim, and there is also a 0.5 cm shallow chip to the rim. Some consolidated age cracks, particularly to the rim and foot. Some black staining to the surface, and old glue residue to the base.
