the interior painted with three lotus blossoms borne on  undulating stems issuing further blooms and twisting leaves all below a band of demi-flowerheads interspersed with foliate motifs around the lipped rim, repeated around the underside, the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue

Provenance

Beijing collector, acquired in the 1940s.
Gifted to a Canadian missionary family, China, 1970s and thence by descent.

Condition

There is an approx. 1 cm hairline crack to the rim. Otherwise, the dish is in general good condition with some minor firing imperfections.
