with deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a gently flared rim, the exterior richly enameled in yellow with two dragons striding in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' amidst cloud swirls and above a border of lappets at the foot, all reserved against an underglaze-blue ground, the interior similarly painted with a blue-ground medallion enclosing a yellow dragon, the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue

Collection of Henry Guinness de Laszlo (1901-1967), and thence by descent.
Condition
The rim has three restored chips, the largest measuring approx. 0.8 cm, two of which with an associated crack extending downwards, the longest measuring approx. 5.6 cm. There is a crack near the base, encircling approx. 2/3 of the foot, which can also be observed from the interior.
