of tapering cylindrical form, the vessel carved around the exterior with ducks wading among flowering lotus and other water plants, an upright handle set to either side, the domed cover similarly carved and with a bud-form knop, the translucent stone of a pale milky-beige color (2)

Condition

The jar and cover are in good overall condition. The rims, edges of the carved decoration and tips of the handles with scattered minute nicks. The most noticeable area being the mouthrim of the jar. The surface with appropriate wear.
