each of flattened baluster form, carved with archaistic taotie masks, the attached cover with a band of upright stiff leaves and floret knop, the rectilinear handle supporting the vase from two rings at the shoulder and surmounted by a ruyi-form hook, apocryphal four-character Qianlong horizontal mark on the foot, wood stands (4)

Collection of William D. B. Alexander (1858-1929), Cleveland, Ohio, and thence by descent.
Condition
The vases are in overall good condition. The base of one vase has a long polished down chip. There are scattered nicks to edges, rims, and as expected along the ring handles. The surface with light wear.
