  • gilt bronze
seated with legs hidden beneath a cloak wrapped around the lower body, the kashaya chased with a patchwork pattern and floral borders, the right hand in bhumisparsa mudra, the left hand holding a sutra, the facial features well-defined beneath the bare head, all supported on three rectangular cushions draped with a cover

Condition

The edge of the left ear is slightly bent. There are scattered nicks and dents, consistent with age. Wear to the gilding, most noticeable to the face. The original base plate is lost, filled with later wood replacement and covered with a felt pad.
