each globular body with three circular medallions enclosing a confronting dragon and phoenix amidst fiery clouds contesting a 'flaming pearl', all against a ground painted with bats, peaches and shou medallions, the tall flared necks further decorated with iron-red bats among clouds, the base with six-character marks in iron-red, wood stands

Condition
This large and impressive pair of vases are in good condition with the exception of some light rubbing to the gilded decoration, one vase has two shallow rim frits (8 and 10mm., wide) and the other has six rim frits (20, 12, 10, 9, 8 and 2mm., wide).
