each tureen brightly enamelled to either side with a pair of peacocks standing on rockwork beneath leafy branches of peony, divided by a pair of hare-head handles and all above an iron-red and gilt spearhead band, the stands similarly decorated, the domed covers with floral sprays surmounted by a pierced crown knop

Condition

This pair of tureens, covers and stands are in very good condition with the exception of some light rubbing and loss to the iron-red and black decoration, particularly noticeable in the rockwork, and some light glaze scratches.
