the pear-shaped body embellished with coral, turquoise and hardstones, inlaid on each side with jade plaques carved in relief with chilong and lingzhi, one end set with a long S-shaped spout issuing from the mouth of a makara, opposite an elaborate handle inlaid with a jade dragon belthook and linked by a chain to the domed cover, surmounted by a mandarin duck jade finial, all raised on a pedestal foot in the form of ruyi heads and foliate scrolls
Condition
This ewer is in good condition, but there is a dent to one side of the underside of the foot. There is a small dent to the interior rim of the cover and there are some minor scratches and nicks to the surface throughout.
