Description
- Porcelain
in the form of a drum, decorated around the sides in varying shades of cobalt blue with three of the bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems), conch shell, pearl and artemisia leaf interspersed with scrolling clouds, the cover with a phoenix in flight among swirling clouds within a scroll border, with raised bosses around the side of the cover and above the foot, the underside with a fourth emblem, the lozenge within double circles, fitted wood box
Condition
In very good condition overall with the exception of firing imperfections such as fritting along the rim and foot, pinpricks to the interior, glaze pulls and short firing cracks.
