each with rounded sides rising from a short foot to a flared rim, the exterior painted with five phoenix roundels above a stylised foliate scroll, similarly decorated with a phoenix roundel to the interior, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark within a double-circle

Condition

Both bowls in very good condition with the exception of minor glaze firing imperfections. One bowl with considerable burst glaze bubbles, particularly along the rim and interior. The other with a circa 1cm firing crack to the interior and some glaze pulls around the edge of the base.
