Description

  • PORCELAIN
with deeply rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, the exterior painted with chicken and chicks separated by blue rocks amidst flowers, all between blue borders around the rim and base, apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within a double square

Condition

There are a few burst bubbles, otherwise the cup is in overall good condition. Please note the exhibition label is incorrectly labeled no. 73, which also belonged to Dr. T. Hugh Shire.
