Description

ink and colour on silk, vividly portraying a guardian wearing armour beneath richly patterned robes with elaborate floral designs, holding a long blade in his right hand, intertwined with three mythical beasts, all among bright orange-red flames and dark swirling clouds, with two dedicatory inscriptions on the lower left and right, and an illegible date

Condition

The painting has been remounted with multiple creases and areas of loss. There is wear to the inscription which has made parts of it illegible.
