Description

  • marbled pottery
the compressed globular body supported on three cabriole legs issuing from animal masks, rising to a short waisted neck and everted rim, the brown and white clay marbled to produce a design of mixed dark and light irregular swirling stripes, covered overall in a clear straw-coloured glaze stopping near the foot

Condition

There is a restored rim chip, with an area of repainting (3x0.6cm). Minor surface wear and glaze firing imperfections.
