the tapering baluster body rising from a recessed base to a waisted neck with inverted rim, painted in rich cobalt-blue tones around the exterior with a fisherman in a river landscape, with sections of the foliage and mountains highlighted in red and green enamel, the neck with floral sprays and all within narrow lappet, dentil and chevron bands, the base with an artemisia leaf within a double circle

Acquired in 1957.
Condition
There is a shallow chip (2.5x0.4cm) to the interior of the rim. The foot has a multi-branched hairline crack covered in yellow overspray. There is a circular kiln flaw to the shoulder. The base with patches of light brown from the firing. Other minor glaze firing imperfections.
