- 15cm high
of cylindrical form, painted around the exterior with two rectangular panels, the larger depicting Daoist Immortals dancing on scrolling clouds with a scholar seated at a window in a pavilion, the other of a lakeside landscape with rocky mountains
Condition
The brushpot is in excellent condition with the exception of minor glaze firing imperfections. There are pinholes and iron spots to both the interior and exterior.

The scene depicts Lu Dongbin escorting White Peony across the clouds, who is being carried by the willow tree spirit. A famille-verte brushpot painted with the same subject was sold in our London rooms, 5th November 2008, lot 93.
