the pear-shaped body rising from a short straight foot to a tall cylindrical neck, painted around the body with birds perched upon flowering branches issuing from rockwork reserved against an iron-red diaper ground, the neck with peach and magnolia sprays reserved against a similar diaper ground, all divided by iron-red chevron bands

Condition
The painting is slightly blurred. There are kiln grits on the base and other minor glaze firing imperfections. There is a 6cm faint hairline crack running through the footrim and up the side of the vase.
