Description
- jade, metal
decorated in low relief with coiled chilong and lingzhi, one half of the buckle terminating in a dragon-head hook, the other with an accommodating oval aperture, the underside of each fitted with a flower-head circular button, the stone of an even white colour; together with a reticulated white jade plaque carved with plum blossoms, fitted with a pin on the reverse
Provenance
Collection of Rev. Dr H.R Williamson (1883-1966), England and China, and thence by descent.
Condition
One buckle with a small insipient chip and polished chip to the edge, and a tiny nick to the tail of the chilong. The other buckle with minute nicks to the edge. The reticulated plaque with minor nicks, otherwise in good condition.
