Description

  • porcelain
each with shallow rounded sides rising from a short foot to an everted rim, finely decorated in shaded tones of cobalt blue, the interior with a medallion enclosing a pair of phoenix with outstretched wings and billowing tail feathers, the mythical creatures interrupted by ruyi-shaped clouds, all within a double-line border repeated at the rim, the exterior similarly rendered with a pair of phoenix divided by ruyi-shaped clouds, the base with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle

Condition

One dish is in overall very good condition. The other one has a hairline crack (approx. 2 cm on the exterior but only approx. 3 cm on the interior) with an associated minute glaze flake to the rim, adjacent to another glaze nick.
