the cup rising from a straight foot to a flared mouth, decorated around the exterior with beribboned bajixiang emblems, each above a lotus head borne on a stylised curvilinear stem, together with a cupstand supported on a tapered foot, centred with a shou character bounded by a moulded raised lip for receiving the cup, similarly painted as the cup with a continuous scroll radiating from the centre, encircled by beribboned bajixiang and a key-fret border on the everted rim, the underside with five evenly spaced bats between double-line borders, the bases of the cup and cupstand each inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark

Condition

The cupstand is in overall very good condition with a 1 cm natural firing line to the centre, near the 'shou' character. There is a tiny shallow flake to the mouthrim of the cup.
