Condition

Cleaned and re-stretched, though on the original unlined canvas. Minor scattered in painting on the right side of the canvas in the sky and mountains. 1993 treatment report available upon request.

The present painting is after J. F. Cropsey's American Harvesting (1851).  The marked canvas indicates that it was produced between 1854 and 1860, during which time Goupil & Co. was headquartered at 366 Broadway.
