Condition
Pile ranges from near original 1/8in. with dark browns oxidized to knotheads and foundation. Several scattered areas of foldwear, also showing spot foundation. A 5 in. repaired slit in field along left edge exposing warps. A few scattered smaller repaired slits in field. Sides partially later overcast with remnants of original selvages. Lower end with partial original flatweave, which is not with some losses and fraying. Upper end missing end guard stripe and minor losses to guard border, now secured with a binding stitch. Lustrous wool, supple handle, sound fabric and condition.
