Movement: gilded full plate movement, verge escapement, decoratively pierced balance cock engraved with scrolling foliage, trophies of war and an urn at the neck, fusee and chain, cylindrical pillars, movement signed and numbered Jas. Brickles, London, 7547
Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring, gold beetle and poker hands
Cases: gilt-metal inner, the back with winding aperture, case maker's mark WH incuse probably for William Howard II • outer case under-painted stained horn with scene depicting moorland with ferns and small ponds, the bezel decorated en suite

Condition

Movement will just run for short periods at time of cataloguing. Dial with a few scratches. Wear to gilding of inner case. Horn to case back in good overall condition, the bezel with some splits to the horn by the hinge.
