  • A jewelled gilt-metal and glass timepiece, Austrian, late 19th century
  • gilt metal, precious stones, watch movement
  • 27.5cm., 10 7/8 in. high
in the form of a man on his ladder and a woman, surmounted by a bouquet set with pearls and gems, on an oval rocaille base, the gilt dial with Roman numerals on a pale green enamel ground

Condition

some wear to gilding overall and a few jewels and pearls missing but good condition and very decorative object. The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
