rectangular with rounded corners, the lid chased with elaborate foliate scrollwork within three-colour gold borders chased with baskets of fruits and flower garlands, on a matted ground, the sides similarly decorated, engine-turned base, maker's mark M incuse in a horizontal lozenge, town mark 1815-1830
