Weishaupt & Söhne, Hanau, cartouche form, the lid engraved with a deer hunt on a reeded and scrolled ground, applied floral thumbpiece, town mark and 14 standard, numbered:1504, 8.8cm., 3 1/2 in.; the second, Albert Boulanger, Paris, 1844-1854, oblong form, engraved with flowers and scrollwork on a ground of variously patterned engine-turning, applied leaf thumbpiece, later Portuguese control mark, 7.3cm., 2 7/8 in wide., the third, in English taste, elongated rectangular, flat engine-turned with flowery scrolls on a diaper ground within applied shell and scroll border, unmarked, 7.8cm., 3 1/8 in. wide
