Description

  • Porcelain
  • approximately 6cm., 2 3/8 in. wide
naturalistically modelled and painted, the two adult birds sat in their nest feeding their six chicks, their plumage picked out in brown, red, black and yellow, the hinged underside formed of enamel, probably London, painted with flower sprays and sprigs,

Condition

In generally good condition. The enamel base with some minor rubbing, and three faint hairline cracks to interior. The mount has a hinge split and is fragile.
