Description

  • Porcelain, diamonds, shagreen
  • 4.4cm., 1 3/4 in. long
of small form modelled with brushed back hair wearing a feather and bonnet tied with a yellow ribbon, her rosy cheeks with three black beauty patches, her black mask framing her eyes formed of two rose-cut diamonds, the hinged reverse with shagreen back set with stars, the interior set with a small mirror,

Provenance

The property of the late Otto and Magdalena Blohm, Sotheby's London, 4th July 1960, lot 32;
acquired at the sale by the Antique Porcelain Company (paper label.)

Condition

There are three small slither chips to the edge of her bonnet and there are two chips to the small yellow bow.
