Harlequin modelled by J. W. Lanz, posing with his left hand touching his pointed hat, and his right foot raised out front, wearing a peach jacket, ruff and brown breeches, on a small grassy based edged in brown and gilt-scrolls, rampant lion mark in underglaze-blue to edge of base, she modelled by J. F. Lück, posing holding a small bunch of flowers in her right hand, upon a small gilt-scroll edged base, impressed H mark,

Harlequin, the Ludwig Darmstädter collection, Berlin, sold by Rudolph Lepke's Kunst-Auctions-Haus, Berlin, 24-26th March 1925, lot 194.

An example of Harlequin was in the collection of Patricia and Rhodes Hart, illustrated in the collection catalogue by Birte Abraham, Amsterdam, 2010, pp. 90-91. Condition

The male figure: His right arm is restored and some associated over-paint to right of his neck. There is a flake to black enamel of hat; The female figure: Some old repair to the right cuff of her bodice, some minute chips to hem of skirt.
