  • enamel, silver-gilt
  • 39cm., 15 3/8 wide
of oval bombé form, fluted upper and lower sections painted with alternating masks and urns, the central section painted with the Rape of the Sabines on one side, Venus and Vulcan on the other, chained naked man and woman handles, maker's mark and Austrian control mark

Condition

overall good condition despite a few minor restorations, barely visible, one hairline crack to top rim. Marks on stem mount.
