moulded as an oval barrel with scalloped gilt-lined rim, the exterior boldly painted with flower sprays including roses, chrysanthemum and a tulip, the interior painted with orange and grey carp swimming amongst scattered insects and pondweed, cancelled crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised A. 176.,

Condition

For a piece of this size the overall condition is very good. There is a small flat chip to the footrim edge, and some very minor wear to the gilding along the rim.
