Description

  • the figure 31cm., 12 1/4 in. high; overall 43.2cm., 17in. high
realistically modelled, on an oblong ebonised wood base with applied silver plaque inscribed 'Captain The Earl of Airlie M.C. from the Officers 10th (PWO) Royal Hussars on the occasion of his marriage July 17th 1917'

Condition

Hallmarked clearly to rim of base. One reign broken away from horses mouth, needs re-attaching. Two wires around the soldiers waist have come unattached but not visible to see where. Plume has possibly been attached with sign of a break. Otherwise good condition, nicely cast. The wooden base with various scuffs and small chips.
