Description

  • Porcelain, wood,
each finely painted with a titled specimen in the centre within a gilt beaded border and gilt saw-tooth rim, comprising:
seven plates, 25.5cm., 10in. diam.;
two plates, 25cm., 9 7/8 in. diam.;
two pierced plates, 27.5cm., 10 7/8 in. and 25.5cm., 10in. diam.; and a pierced soup plate, 24.5cm., 9 5/8 in. diam.;
a small plate, 22cm., 8 5/8 in. diam.;
four side plates, 19.5cm., 7 5/8 in. diam.;
a circular dish, 20.5cm., 8 1/8 in. diam.;
a footed stand, 14cm., 5 1/2 in. high;
an oval tureen and cover, 30.5cm., 12 in. wide, and another, 16cm., 6 1/4 in. wide;
a hot chocolate pot and cover, 17.5cm., 6 7/8 in. high;
a set of six cups and saucers;
a custard cup and cover, milk jug and a small pot, a wine cooler and a leaf-shaped dish,
the reverses with specimen titles in black script, most with green printed factory marks, wave marks in underglaze-blue,

Condition

Of the seven plates, 25.5cm., two with a point chipped at rim, another with three points chipped. one side plate, 19.5cm. one with section of rim missing; the circular dish, 20.5cm with two points chipped; the larger over tureen and cover with small chips to flower terminals of handles; one saucer with a point chipped, one cup broken and repaired; flat chip to rim of custard cup, several points on cover chipped; the small pot with cover fragmented and lacking section, chip to flange, a wine cooler - extensively broken and repaired; the leaf shaped dish with handle lacking.
