Description

painted with a continuous scene of two groups of chinoiserie figures brewing and drinking tea, with gilt scroll border to the rim, the flat cover with two small vignettes of similar scenes within concentric iron-red circles, the moulded scroll spout and handle terminal picked out in gilding, impressed numeral 23, gilded numeral 73 to inside of cover, with turned wooden handle,

Condition

the outer edge of the porcelain handle terminal has been restored and re-gilded, otherwise no other damage noted.
